Edwards Sales Corporation was founded in 1954 by father-and-son duo, Ed Schlamp and Ed Schlamp Jr. The company began as an independent distributor for the Dow Chemical Company, specializing in selling their very high-performance extruded polystyrene insulation, Styrofoam. They thereafter became a representative agency for Dow construction products.

 

A few short years later, our product lines expanded to include sealants and coatings, which we still stock and distribute. We’ve since grown to represent other high-performance, complimentary building enclosure products including weather and air barriers, spray foam insulation, claddings and cladding attachments, as well as building safety products.

 

The harsh climate in the upper Midwest being what it is, our focus for nearly 70 years has been “Keeping Buildings Warm and Dry”.

 

Tom Stauber and Tom Riley acquired the agency in 1991 from Roger Nyberg and Roger Waldin. Tom ran the company until it was acquired in 2019 by Ted Stauber, the current owner and President of Edwards Sales.  

 

We have a current staff of 11 building science experts, with 8 full-time outside salespeople, and 3 inside sales support staff. We cover the upper Midwest of the United States: Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Iowa, and Nebraska. Our headquarters is in Chaska, Minnesota, with remote sales staff located in Duluth, MN, Green Bay, WI, Milwaukee, WI, and Elk River, MN.
